Writing "Micro" Articles?

I've been thinking about writing a few more articles for CP, but the problem is that I can't seem to find enough time to write full-length articles. Given my time constraints, I only have enough time to write articles that are two to three pages long. The articles aren't short enough to be just code snippets, and they might not be long enough to get past a "2" or "3" rating.

So anyway, my question is this: should I just wait and clump everything together into one big article, or would writing these "micro" articles be a sound strategy?

p.s. I could just post these articles on my blog, but I doubt it will get nearly the same amount of exposure as a CP publication. Anyway, what do you guys think?

Do you know...LinFu?

New ASP.NET Charting Control and Dundas

"Microsoft has rolled out a software package for the .NET Framework 3.5 and Visual Studio 2008 users that allows developers to quickly setup interactive charts and graphs for applications without writing any code....

"Microsoft acquired the chart control technology in June of last year from Dundas Software, a Toronto, Ontario-based provider of data visualization technologies."

http://visualstudiomagazine.com/news/article.aspx?editorialsid=10419[^]

http://weblogs.asp.net/scottgu/archive/2008/11/24/new-asp-net-charting-control-lt-asp-chart-runat-quot-server-quot-gt.aspx[^]

So, what happens to Dundas now? Or is this a very limited subset of what Dundas offers?

Vista wireless issue [modified] --> SOLVED!

Hello all,

Last week I was in a customer enterprise and I was capable to connect to his wireless network to get internet connection without any problem...

Today I'm back at his facility and even I can connect to the wireless, I can't connect to internet through it...

One coworker with an XP laptop can connect to the internet using the same wep password and I don't know what can happen here...

Any idea?

As always thank you in advance...

PS: I've sent this post using the phone internet connection...

I've solved it by using a tip in a geek web page I've found using the other laptop...

The solution has been:

netsh int ip reset reset.log
netsh winsock reset catalog
RESET

And it has made the trick...

Let's work properly!

Its official [modified]

I have found the ultimate time waster. Period. All competition has been dropped down the drain.

ULTIMATE TIME WASTER: BEWARE, ENTER AT YOUR OWN RISK. by clicking or right clicking here or reading the url address by hovering over this link or tabbing to the link through one or more key presses or through any other way to the link and from said link to the web page it points to or if you receive the link through another direct source making you indirectly receiving this from this page here posted by none other than Mustafa Ismail Mustafa aka Steve Mustafa aka Abu Ismail aka The Worm Father aka MIM automatically absolves him of all consequences that you the clicker/receiver of the link might incur such as loss of time, appetite, spouse/significant other, job etc. Oh and you owe me a pint [^]

*UPDATE*
MIM reserves the right to add clauses at his own discretion that makes your life much more difficult. Any other means that are not mentioned explicitly but are implicitly implied automatically renders the "Clicker"[1] indebted to MIM by a pint of the finest brew to be chosen by MIM at his discretion; the debt, if not fulfilled during the lifetime of MIM or the Clicker, will be inherited by their respective descendants for all eternity until the debt is absolved by the owed party.

Reporting Frameworks

I've been tasked with researching some alternatives to SQL Server Reporting Services and was wondering what experiences and recommendations anyone out there has?

I've also seen a couple of add-ons for reporting services, some of which look quite promising - has anyone got any experience of these?

PS Ideally not Crystal Reports - I had to use this in an old job and *hated* it!!

Cheers

Stupid auto-quotes

I was in the Co-op (more-ethical-than-most supermarket for non-UKians) yesterday and saw that they had new signs up all over the shop: 'Tis the season writ large on both sides. The problem was that the apostrophe was a "6" style and not a "9" style. I am sure that it is because they used some too-clever-by-half software which second-guessed, incorrectly, that the apostrophe was a single open quote, and the person editing it, and the morons who proof-read it didn't spot it, so now hundreds of stores all over the UK have grammatically incorrect signs hung all over them, and it'll bug me every time I see it.

And, why is the text in the DateTimePicker control offset by 1 extra pixel downwards, so not only are they not the same high, but if you want the text aligned, you have to raise the DateTimePicker up by 1 pixel.
